Find out how to prepare for making your grant application, and how to apply.
Can I be considered for a grant?
To apply to Family Fund, you need to be the parent/carer of;
A child, children or young person that is aged between 0-24.
A child, children or young person with disability or serious illness
A child, children or young person that is not in the care of the Local Authority or in foster care
You also need to have been a UK resident for the past 6 months.
More information is available on our Are we eligible page. It is useful to check this before you start your application.
What does Family Fund need to know?
Family Fund will decide about your application by looking at your income and the impact of disability on your child or children, so we need to collect this information from you.
How do I apply?
Applying through our online application form is the quickest and easiest way to make an application and takes less time to process, so you may receive your grant decision more quickly.
If you are not able to apply online, you can download an application pack to print, complete, and post back to us.
If you are unable to print the form at home, you can request an application pack to be posted to you. You should receive this within 10 working days. It costs Family Fund £1 for every pack that is printed and posted, so please check your eligibility carefully before you request one.
If you are submitting an application for more than one child, you’ll also need to complete the additional child form (one per sibling you wish to include in your application).
I need help to be able to apply?
Family Fund is committed to making our application process as accessible as possible. You can contact us on [email protected] or call us on 01904 550055 if:
