Audit Officer
We are looking for an Audit Officer to support in the effective planning, conducting and reporting of audits.

The role
As Audit Officer, you will work directly with the Audit and Compliance Manager to support in the effective planning, conducting, and reporting of audits on time.
If you join us, you will:
- Ensure the provision of an efficient audit service to the Fund Group
- Complete for review the monthly financial and systems audit including checking finance prepared reconciliations, authorisations, payroll, and system changes
- Produce and send audit requests for receipts and/or confirmation of item delivery and then log and action receipts and confirmations
- Liaise with families, referrers, and Family Fund colleagues about audit related enquiries.
- Conduct audit checks relating to the grant delivery process to provide assurance that families are spending their awards as expected and key audit and awarding processes are operating effectively
- Assist with system testing and validation
- Assist with any reported allegations of misuse or fraud, ensuring these are documented and reported
- Assist in the preparation of Business and Board reports as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent critical reasoning, logical problem solving and analytical skills. You will need to have excellent communication skills, excellent document presentation skills and be able to manage data within Excel. You must be flexible, adaptable, and resilient to work demands and change.
For this role you will need to have administration experience with similar duties. You will need experience of accounting practices, including financial accruals and reconciliations and of record input and maintenance.
Ideally, you will have experience of working within auditing but this is not essential.
